Nnadi after Super Bowl victory
Derrick Nnadi won the Super Bowl with his team the Kansas City Chiefs. The NFL player has celebrated by paying the adoption fee for over 100 rescue centre dogs.
Nnadi, born in Virginia to Nigerian parents, said via his Twitter account that the adoptions were ‘the perfect way to cap off this great season’ – with the Kansas Chiefs beating the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, in the NFL’s title decider in Miami.

The fee for dog adoption is usually more than $100, with Nnadi covering around $10,000 of sponsorship fees. This is on top of all the adoption fees previously paid by Nnadi, as he has covered the adoption fee of one dog for every win the team has this season.
“We’re so honored to partner with @DerrickNnadi who is sponsoring the adoption fees of all our adoptable dogs at our locations,” KC Pet Project tweeted.
