THE popular Porto Pi shopping centre in Spain’s Palma de Mallorca is set to be transformed with €26 million worth of renovations planned over the next 15 months.
Opening in 1995, the complex, which has become a paradise for retail therapy, will be completely modernised both inside and out. Under a new brand concept, work will be carried out on the façade of the building and a new pergola that will cover the outdoor areas will be installed.
The common spaces will also be renovated with changes made to the complex’s lighting, flooring and ceilings. Two new plazas will also be established with a space dedicated to children as well as rest areas for customers to use.
In addition, energy efficiency at the height of technology will be a priority for the shopping centre with the planned implementation of interactive screens, parking guidance systems and an exclusive application for the Porto Pi centre where customers can receive numerous advantages on every visit.
As Euro Weekly News understands, notable fashion, homeware and technology firms are also expected to be added to the centre in the next coming months.
