THE ‘Diamond Princess’ cruise ship has the largest outbreak of Coronavirus outside China after six new infections were confirmed yesterday, Sunday, bringing the total number of cases on the ship to 70, the Japanese government has reported.
The ship, with 3,700 people on board, is currently in the port of Yokohama, under quarantine since last Monday after a passenger who disembarked in Hong Kong was found to be infected.
The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare said it had examined 336 potentially infected people and the latest results confirmed six new cases, according to data collected by the official Japanese news agency, Kyodo.
