THE singer Miguel Poveda will be responsible for opening this year the V Edition of the Marenostrum Fuengirola on May 16 with his show ‘El Tiempo Pasa Volando’(Time flies).

Councillor for Culture, Rodrigo Romero, has announced details of the concert, with which the Catalan singer is celebrating his thirty years on stage. “Flamenco in the 21st century is not understood without the magnificent trajectory of Miguel Poveda,” said the councillor. After finishing the first part of his international tour that will take him to cities such as New York, Miami and the Swedish city of Malmo, Miguel Poveda will return to Marenostrum Fuengirola, where he previously performed in 2013 and again in 2017 with a spectacular reception by the audience. 2019 was a successful year for Miguel, which culminated in the most important and biggest concert of his career, a milestone for flamenco, with more than 7,000 attendees who gathered on December 23 at the WiZink Centre in Madrid. Tickets are already on sale and can be purchased through www.marenostrumfuengirola.com and www.riffmusic.es.
