Spanish Football Manager Rafa Benitez And His Club Are Stuck In Spain Under Quarantine In Marbella

Spanish Football manager Rafa Benitez and his players are currently stranded on the Costa Del Sol in Spain as they under go a 14 day quarantine period for coronavirus.

Benitez the former Liverpool and Newcastle manager who hails from Spain is stranded with his players of his current club Dalian from North China due to the Coronavirus.

They are holed up at at the La Quinta golf resort in Benahavis on the outskirts of Marbella and Rafa has quoted he has never seen anything like it in his many years of football management.

The Club chose Spain as their destination for pre-season training but now due to the virus outbreak in China, the season start has been suspended.

Precautions are being taken with the full squad quarantined at the golf resort.

Player’s temperatures are being taken twice a day to check for any outbreaks of the deadly virus. They continue to train twice a day but the threshold of boredom has struck with limited activities available.

Meanwhile, Manchester United’s squad who were booked into the resort as well themselves, changed hotels to avoid coming into contact with the Chinese club outfit.
