Love Island contestants have not been told about Caroline Flack’s tragic death, and it has been reported ITV bosses are meeting to discuss how to address her suicide.
The winter season of Love Island is scheduled to finish in just 7 days time on the 23rd of February. It has been reported that the contestants have not been told about Caroline Flack’s death.
The current season is being hosted by Laura Whitmore after Caroline stepped down, after she was arrested for allegedly assaulting her boyfriend Lewis Burton. It is the first Love Island to be filmed in the winter and in the new location of South Africa.
Financial Times’ Mark Di Stefano took to twitter to report that the bosses of ITV were locked in a meeting to discuss what to do next. He wrote: ‘ITV execs and programme makers are meeting now to discuss how to respond to Caroline Flack’s death. Told to expect more information this afternoon on tonight’s episode of Love Island and the long-term.’
