Costa Almeria bridge works close Adra road until August

WORKS have got started on repairs to the bridge going over the river Adra and are set to take six months to complete, according to the Sub-delegation of the Government in Almeria.
The access to Adra from the Puente del Rio district will therefore be cut off to traffic until mid-August while measure are put in place to make the infrastructure safer for both pedestrians and vehicles.
The €1 million project includes widening the pavement and creating more space between pedestrians and vehicles. The surface will also be reinforced to improve safety and the aesthetics of the structure.
Sub-delegate Manuel de la Fuente went to take a look at the works in person this week. He was accompanied by the head of eastern Andalucia State Roads Salvador Fernandez, Adra Mayor
Manuel Cortes and the municipal PSOE party spokesperson Teresa Piqueras.
