Rugby star Rowan Baxter stabs himself to death in the chest while his three kids burn alive in their SUV

Police are still investigating the tragic deaths of Rowan and his three children who were burned to death in his SUV

Rugby star Rowan Baxter and his three young children have died in a tragic car fire, emergency services raced to the fire in Camp Hill, Brisbane Australia, after being alerted by residents in the Brisbane suburb at about 8.30 am local time.

Sadly, it has been confirmed that Baxter and his three children, all under the age of 10, died in the tragedy. Rowan himself apparently only had minor burns initially but then witnesses at the scene reported watching him actually trying to STOP the fire brigade putting out the fire and stabbing himself to death in the chest with a knife when he realised he couldn’t.
The SUV was engulfed in flames, efforts to rescue the occupants proved impossible

Police added that Baxter’s wife, involved in a custody battle with Rowan, was taken to hospital with “extensive injuries”. Witnesses have reported hearing her screaming to the emergency services: “he threw petrol over me” before passing out at the scene.

It is known that the couple were involved in a bitter custody battle for the children.
