Accident on Javea’s Les Planes road, Costa Blanca

A 15-YEAR-OLD cyclist was hurt in a collision with a car on the Les Planesroad in Javea on the Costa Blanca. The accident occurred on a sharp bend when the girl, whom the local Spanish media identified as British, was descending the steep road and ran into the vehicle. The Policia Local, Red Cross and a Basic Life Support ambulance were called to the scene and the young girl transferred to Denia Hospital. The car’s windscreen was damaged although the girl did not appear to have sustained serious injuries, Emergency Services sources revealed later.
