The Town Hall of Almuñecar aims to improve the garbage collection system.
The Councillor for Environment of the City of Almuñécar, Luis Aragón, accompanied by technical manager of the Area, Jesús Ruiz, have met with representatives of different communities of Taramay and Velilla to report that Sunday, March 15, is the deadline for collection of private community containers, with the rear loading system. As of March 16, the implementation of lateral cargo containers in the area from Las Góndolas, Velilla, Príncipe de Asturias Taramay, Tesorillo and Cabria, corresponding to the first phase of this new system, will enter into force. “The implementation of the new road collection and cleaning system aims to increase the efficiency of the service and the sustainable improvement of our municipality. For this, we have initiated an information campaign supported by posters, in addition to this informational meeting, which we will transfer to all communities affected,” said Aragón. The Town Hall of Almuñécar, through the Environment Area, is implementing a new garbage collection system in some areas of the municipality. Now the organic waste will be deposited in the grey container that has been placed next to those that was already installed for plastic (yellow), paper (blue) and glass (green).
