The remodelling jobs of the emblematic Padre Raimundo Codesal street have begun.
At the end of 2019, the Town Hall of Vélez-Málaga signed the contract that gave the green light to the integral remodelling jobs of the emblematic Padre Raimundo Codesal street in the city, serving an old neighbourhood demand. Currently, the jobs have begun and involve the investment of 168,000 euros. The mayor of Vélez-Málaga, Antonio Moreno Ferrer, and the Councillor for Infrastructure, Juan García, have reported the start of the jobs, which began a few days ago. These works include the new paving of the entire street, as well as other improvements in the infrastructure of the area. This project responds to the needs of residents living on that street and will offer improvements in accessibility, increasing the quality of life and public safety. The remodelling of the street will offer, in addition to the improvement of the infrastructures and services of the area, a greater uniformity of all the elements integrated in the public road: the pavement, the walls of the spaces of access to the houses, the steps and the railings The works are being carried out by the company Excavaciones Montosa, S.L., and have an approximate execution period of six months.
