A drunk man was arrested after he drove off in an ambulance – with a patient still inside receiving treatment from paramedics.
The incident took place in Birmingham, England on Thursday night (February 27).
Police say paramedics were treating a patient in the ambulance when a drunk man got into the front seat and drove it off
Response officers were called to the scene to stop the ambulance. They then arrested a man who refused a breath test.
The West Midlands Force Response tweeted: “Absolute madness.
“If you’re drink driving in your own car, don’t then try and get into a @OFFICIALWMAS ambulance and move it whilst they treat a poorly patient.
“Luckily Newtown Officers arrived in time and #arrested the male who then refused a breath test. Instant #ban for him.”
