Small Animals Trapped Alive in Keychains in China for $1,50

A strange trend in China has caught on, and many people around the world are terrified and disgusted by it, especially activists and supporters of the rights of the animals.

It seems that in China people are keeping live fish, turtles, and many other amphibians as keepsakes on their keychains.

The charms are just plastic bags that contain sufficient water for the animals to survive, as well as a small amount of crystallized oxygen and other nutrients. Nevertheless, animals only survive for a very short period of time.

The only way the animal can survive is to take it out of the plastic, but most owners let the animals die and then dismiss them.

A petition to put an end to this disturbing keychains has already reached more than one million supporters.
