THE Education Department of the Ayuntamiento de Fuengirola has organised for the second consecutive year the school drawing contest ‘Así veo la Semana Santa’, in which all students enrolled this year between first and sixth year of Primary School can participate. Councillor for Education, Carmen Díaz, has been in charge of presenting this activity by saying that “we have re-launched this initiative so that all schoolchildren in Fuengirola can participate, to allow us to continue to enjoy our traditions, with the help of children.”

Like last year, the contest will be divided into two categories and the winners of each will have the honour of appearing in the Official Semana Santa programme that will be distributed throughout Fuengirola. Diaz has asked that children hand in their drawings before March 11 at the Department of Education to allow time for the jury that will be to pick the winning drawing of each category.
