Grants to study abroad from Costa Blanca

ALTEA’S European Projects department, recently hosted an Erasmus+ Experience talk for 150 young people and their parents from the Costa Blanca town.
“We believe in this idea and are investing in human capital, introducing our young people to new cultures, new languages and new experiences,” European Projects councillor Maria Antonia Lavios said. The councillor admitted that it had been something of a “long haul” but with perseverance, the town hall had succeeded in opening its pioneering office.
“We have been able to send more than 70 young Altea residents to other European countries to learn in different surroundings,” Lavios revealed. The councillor also announced that the town hall will award more grants enabling Altea students to study abroad. Lavios invited the audience to visit the European Projects Office on the first floor at the Casa de Cultura to find out more about the programme. She also encouraged them to visit the Office’s social media pages to learn about places on Erasmus+. There is no cost, the councillor said, and the European Commission later recognises the experience and knowledge gained with its Youth pass certificate.
