Stamp of approval for Teulada-Moraira building, Costa Blanca

The Valencia region’s Federation of Philatelic Associations (FASFILCOVA) hopes to hold its annual conference in Teulada-Moraira’s Sala de Jurats. This year Teulada-Moraira celebrates the 400th anniversary of the Sala, which was originally built as a meeting place for the local authorities. with a programme that includes lectures, exhibitions, live music and fireworks displays. FASFILCOVA has now asked Teulada-Moraira town hall’s Culture department if its annual conference on March 29 can be the first of the activities planned for the Sala. Jose Ivars Ivars, FASFILCOVA’s president, is a Calpe resident and told the local Spanish media that he hopes to link philately with the building’s 400 years of history. Ivars also said that he hopes to bring the historic, cultural and tourism value of the Sala to the attention of the postal service Correos, philatelists and the public in general.
