Today, Spain’s Andalucia faces an educational strike called by the Andalusian Platform for the Public School. Several union organizations are participating in the strike. Among them are, Ustea, the Confederation of Associations of Fathers and Mothers, Codapa, and the Front of Students, FdE. Other unions such as ANPE and CSIF have also joined the protest today.
The strike takes place three days after the start of the schooling process for the next 2020/2021 courses and is organized as a protest against the new decree of schooling of the Junta de Andalucía in an effort to protect public education. The participating union organizations want to show their disagreement with this new regulation.
