2,672 Marbella students to take part in school sports day on the Costa del Sol

THE XVI edition of Pequemarathon has brought together a total of 2,672 students from 28 educational centres throughout Marbella. This activity of the Juegos Deportivos Escolares began on March 9 at the Estadio Municipal de Marbella Antonio Lorenzo Cuevas and will end on the March 13 at the Polideportivo Guadaiza de Nueva Andalucia. The objectives of Pequemarathon are the promotion of the work of the basic motor skills of the first and second-year primary school students (aged between 7 and 8 years) and the development of values such as discipline and cooperation through work in groups, with a playful approach that makes the activity more motivating. In addition, it offers the promotion of healthy lifestyle habits, such as the use of leisure time in a dynamic and varied way, by teaching game alternatives.
