SINTROM: The fact clinics in Finestrat can prescribe the drug will benefit patients. CREDIT: Ayuntamiento de Finestrat
From MID-March, Finestrat’s doctors will be able to prescribe Sintrom, an oral anti-coagulation treatment, to avoid the inconvenience of patients having to travel to other health centres, such as Marina Baixa Hospital. Councillor for Health, Nati Algado, said: “This is a complaint we have made on numerous occasions to the Ministry of Health of the Generalitat Valenciana, and, finally, we have achieved something, and the doctors’ offices of Finestrat can take control of this treatment. “Undoubtedly, by being able to provide Sintrom to our patients, we will save them the trip to other clinics and hospitals, helping to improve their quality of life since, in most cases, they are elderly, dependent, or have mobility difficulties. It will also improve the quality of life of the people who care for them”.
