 Almost 90 mafia arrests charged with sneaking in immigrants and hashish into the coasts of Málaga and Cádiz.

 They would charge each immigrant approximately 5,000 to guarantee passageway to Spain. They disposed of a network of radars which notified them of any police vessels and boarding’s.

 A total of 89 people have been arrested with another 39 individuals under investigation in the provinces of Cádiz, Málaga and Ceuta as part of the macro operation, ‘Perla de la Gaurdia Civil’, translated to ‘Pearl of the Gaurdia Civil’.  This operation has dismantled an illicit criminal network which introduced migrants and large quantities of hash into the coasts of Andalucía.

 These individuals are accused with felonies including drug trafficking, belonging to a criminal network, felonies against the rights of foreign citizens, contraband, grand theft auto, false documentation and possession of illegal weapons.

 During the time of the investigation, the Guardia Civil highlights that they can confirm around 11 boat arrivals of migrants to Andalucía, around 269 people, and around 10, 700 kilos of hashish.

Meanwhile, during different police searches they have confiscated more than 10 tonnes of hashish, seized 26 shipments, 29 vehicles, 250,000 euros in cash, 12 fire arms, 2,300 litres of petrol and telecommunication material and spyware including satellite telephones, blockers and radars.
