A FIRE which broke out in the Es Canyet area of the s’Albufera natural park in Muro on Sunday evening burnt through 16 hectares of cane.
The IBANET Balearic Nature Institute, the Mallorca firefighting service and Muro Local Police took part in the effort to bring the blaze under control.
It was finally extinguished in the early hours of the morning.
