The UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson is being investigated for his latest vacation trip, the Observer reports.
The British Parliament’s controller of members’ expenses, among other things, is investigating Boris Johnson’s latest vacation trip to the Caribbean since it was paid for by an outside person.
Commissioner Kathryn Stone will review Johnson and his girlfriend Carrie Symond’s trip to the privately owned island of Mustique over the New Year. A trip that, according to Johnson’s statement, was paid for by businessman David Ross. Ross at first denied that he had donated the money, then to say that the sum of £15,000 was “support of some kind”.
The Labor opposition party has demanded that the controller should investigate the case. The Prime Minister’s Office 10 Downing Street has previously said that the travel declaration was accurate but does not want to comment on this new information.
