The best-case scenario of the coronavirus pandemic in Spain is that it is controlled within a month, that says Fernando Simón, head of Spain’s Centro de Coordination y Emergencias Sanitarias.

“The epidemic can be controlled within one or two months, in the best-case scenario,” he says. In the worst-case scenario, within three to four months.”

So, how do we create the best-case scenario? Fernando Simón continues:

“The most important is that the public follows the  Government’s advice. We must begin with ourselves to prevent further spread of the virus. Now it’s everyone’s responsibility to stay home if they have a cold.”

While hoping for the best, Spain prepares for the worst and are planning measures against the pandemic all the way into July.

The message is clear: to be able to overcome this quickly, it starts with you. Act responsibly and follow the government’s advice.
