According to the health protocol, coronavirus tests are only performed on people who, in addition to presenting all the symptoms, also meet one of two other criteria:
They must have been in contact with a person who has tested positive for the coronavirus or have travelled to risk areas. If they do not fill one of these criteria, tests are not performed.
If patients go to the ER with symptoms, they get to fill out a questionnaire in which they are asked to answer if they have visited risk areas or had contact with the virus, and if they have, they are given a mask and put into isolation where a clinical evaluation takes place.
If patients show symptoms but do not fill the criteria, home isolation is recommended.
