Police in Portugal’s popular holiday destination Albufeira have started to close down its busy strips, as Spain starts its lockdown process.
It has been reported that police are currently closing down lively strips in Albufeira, Portugal, fearing the spread of coronavirus that has flooded Spain and other surrounding countries.
Portugal is reported to have 57 new cases, with a total of 169, enabling them to contain the virus before it rapidly spreads.
Portugal has no recorded deaths and has the opportunity to learn from other countries mistakes by acting now before the virus has the chance to peak.
Although there has been no reports of closing their borders, this is a major decision for the Algarve town, who relies heavily on tourist attraction.
