Spain’s Malaga reports surge in Coronavirus cases now totalling 235 & mourns first young victim

Malaga’s health authorities have registered another 55 Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases today, taking the new total to 235. The province also mourns its first young Coronavirus victim. The 21-year-old was reported to have cancer and other underlying health issues, bringing the city’s coronavirus death toll to five. The other victims were aged between 70 and 90.

The province now accounts for approximately 42% of the total number of cases registered in Andalusia (554), as well as the majority of Coronavirus-related deaths (five out of seven).

Of the 235 cases in Malaga, 13 are in intensive care with another 85 hospitalised. The rest are reported to be in isolation at home.
