TWO people were injured, one of them seriously, when a couple of vehicles went into each other on the Andratx highway late on Saturday night. According to reports the two cars collided between Bendinant and Genova on a section of the road with several curves just before 11pm. The impact was such that one of the vehicles went out of control, shot off the road and went into a tree. Several 061 ambulances, Guardia Civil and Calvia and Palma Local Police attended the accident scene. Firefighters were also called out as initially it was thought there could be people trapped in the vehicles. The most seriously injured driver was rushed to the Son Espases hospital. The Guardia Civil are investigating the cause of the accident.
