7,000 Quarantined Italians Violate Curfew Spreading the Coronavirus Further

Although Catalunia still has relatively fewer cases in total than Madrid, the acceleration of new cases is worrying.

The last few days 7,000 Italian people who were not allowed to go outside broke curfew spreading the coronavirus further in the country, according to SVT. They were eventually stopped, but the damage may already have been done.

“There are 90 percent who are responsible, but 10 percent have not understood the seriousness at all,” says Vincenzo De Luca, president of the Campania region in Italy, SVT reports.

The virus has now spread to five communities in Campania, with Naples as the largest city, and appears to have started in the city of Ariano Irpino with 22,000 citizens. 400 cases have been confirmed in the region and roadblocks have been put up in the affected municipalities by direct order of Vincenzo De Luca.
