Crisis support for the vulnerable in Villajoyosa on the Costa Blanca

HOME help and a telephone service for the vulnerable in Villajoyosa will be maintained during the coronavirus crisis, the Town Hall has confirmed.

A service has been launched in collaboration with non-profit organisation, DYA Association, to provide food and pharmaceutical products to the elderly, those who live alone with no family support and other residents at greater risk.

Association volunteers will collect and deliver the items.

To access the service, call the Department of Social Welfare and Equality on 965 894 212 or the DYA Association on 966 810 040.

The department is calling on the ‘solidarity of citizens’ and asks if anybody knows of someone who may be in need of this service’s support, to advise them of the helpline numbers.
