Technical Call – Cruise Liner World Dream to Refuel in Gibraltar

THE Cruise Liner World Dream which was placed in quarantine in February of this year in Hong Kong harbour because of coronavirus is due to arrive in Gibraltar on Saturday March 21.

This is what is classed as a technical stop as the German built liner which primarily serves the Asian market needs to refuel prior to relocating to America.

This is not a cruise call, the port is closed to all cruise liners with passengers but because the World Dream is crewed only, the stop is allowed.

No crewmembers will be allowed to disembark from the vessel, and no attendance on board the vessel from shore based staff will be permitted during its short stay in Gibraltar.
