A press release from the group has stated that both of their Marbella hotels, Fuerte Marbella and Amare Beach Hotel Marbella, wanted to collaborate and add to the actions of solidarity we have been witnessing during these last few days by donating all perishable food items they had in storage.
In total, this amounts to more than 1,500 kilos of food and includes items like vegetables, fruits, dairy, meats. They will be delivered to the Caritas delegation in the Parroquia del Calvario de Marbella. This entity will be in charge of distributing the produce to the families and individuals most in need, especially to the elderly who have been identified as the most vulnerable group in this crisis.
The Andalucian hotel company, which has 63 years of experience, has said that in the history of their existence they have never had to close their businesses on this scale, they trust that “the measures imposed by the authorities and the responsibility of citizens alike will be able to contain this pandemic as quickly as possible, so that we can come out of this experience supported and united”.
