DESPITE the coronavirus pandemic which has brought the entire nation to a standstill, the construction work on Malaga’s motorway is still underway. Starting next Monday, the access to the AP-7 motorway, going towards Malaga, will be temporarily cut off at the kilometre point 222, located next to the petrol station.
Javier Marín, the councillor for Traffic in Benalmádena, has confirmed that starting on March 30 there will be an alternative route which travels past the Avenida de Voluntarios de Protecion Civil until reaching the provisional road that was set up a few months ago, after changing direction at the roundabout located at the entrance of the Arroyo de la Miel industrial area.
However, Marín reassured that the same exit going in the opposite direction, towards Fuengirola, as well as the entrance to Arroyo de la Miel for those travelling towards Malaga will remain unchanged.
He has also reminded residents that they should not be using their vehicles for unnecessary journeys as they should remain at home during the State of Alarm.
