WITH pleasure craft unable to sail at present, Javea’s Club Nautico is organising a series of virtual regattas on Costa Blanca waters. Two have already been held but a third regatta with 40 entries is scheduled to take place today, Thursday, April 2, until Saturday, April 4. The virtual regatta is organised with strict and demanding rules as though participants were at sea, explained the Club Nautico’s sporting director Javier Momparler, with two days of qualifying heats with 10 races in all. The top 18 to emerge from the three rounds will compete for a virtual trophy on April 9 and April 10, receiving their prizes during Sailing Week.
