Granada’s generous Band B owners host holidays for health care workers in Andalucia, Spain after the Coronavirus pandemic

A GROWING number of Bed and Breakfast and self-catering accommodation providers in Andalucia, Spain are pledging to offer free short-breaks to NHS hospital workers once the Coronavirus crisis subsides.

Launched last week by Ian Rutter and Andrew Watson, owners of Casa Higueras, in Granada and joined by Nick Leese and Richard Keyser, who have a self-catering property Casa Rosario, the #MyTravelPledge campaign has three aims.

To give healthcare workers something to look forward to, and boost morale at this hugely difficult time.

To give property owners some hope that their tourism businesses might have a future when travel restrictions are lifted.

To invite travellers to start visiting Spain again when the crisis abates.

The growing list of properties can be seen at www.casa-higueras.com/our-travel-pledge-accomodation
