Two people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a four-month-old baby injured at her Newent home later died in hospital.
Gloucestershire Police detectives made the arrests after the baby girl died on April 18 having been admitted to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital on Easter Sunday.
Her condition was described as “serious” and she was moved to Bristol Children’s Hospital.
A force spokeswoman confirmed “two people have been arrested in connection with the investigation into her death and remain in police custody, adding they were arrested “on suspicion of murder”.
