NHS medical personnel have been slammed for posting “spirit lifting” and morale boosting videos of staff dancing on wards using the TikTok app.
Clips have been posted on social media of groups of nurses from wards in London, Buckinghamshire, Leeds and Wolverhampton, sparking criticism from some members of the public.
One woman, whose brother and sister work for the NHS, said she was ‘seriously p***ed off’ by the clips.
Others claimed they were simply offering some light relief during a stressful time.
When the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Trust posted their clip, they stressed that ‘no patients were left uncared for in the making of the video.’
But some have said they don’t clap every Thursday in a national show of support for the NHS for staff to dance around.
