Early morning earthquake at sea on the Costa Blanca

Early risers may have felt the tremors of a low intensity earthquake in Gran Alacant just after 4.30 this morning.

Measuring just 1.9 degrees on the Richter scale, the epicentre was at sea 4km from the coast, and 3km deep.
