According to Andalucia’s health authorities, 38 out of Malaga’s 103 muncipalities have registered zero coronavirus (Covid-19) cases.
THE 38 coronavirus-free towns (in alphabetical order) are Alfarnatejo, Alpandeire, Árchez, Atajate, Benadalid, Benalauría, Benamargosa, Benaoján, Benarrabá, El Borge, Canillas de Aceituno, Canillas de Albaida, Carratraca, Cartajima, Comares, Cómpeta, Cútar, Faraján, Gaucín, Istán, Iznate, Jimera de Líbar, Jubrique, Júzcar, Macharaviaya, Monda, Montecorto, Montejaque, Ojén, Parauta, Pujerra, Salares, Sayalonga, Sedella, Serrato, Tolox, Totalán and La Viñuela.
Malaga’s municipalities that still have a large number of coronavirus cases, include central Malaga with a whopping 1,671 cases, followed by Marbella with 223 people infected with Covid-19. The other coastal towns that are still affected by the disease include Benalmádena (101 cases), Torremolinos (100), Alhaurín de la Torre (93), Antequera (83), Cártama (36), Estepona (45), Fuengirola (58), Mijas (59) and Ronda (97). Surprisingly, given the international traffic into Nerja, it only has seven diagnosed cases.
