Children in Competa draw from experience to illustrate a book on their positive  experiences during the coronavirus quarantine

ART WORK: Competa children asked to illustrate their lockdown experiences

COMPETA’S under-12’s will receive a book this year celebrating the recent World Book Day.
Held each year on April 23, it is customary to exchange books as presents, especially in Catalonia, where women receive a red rose in return.
As well as the books which have been specially-chosen by the pupils nursery and primary school teachers, each of the children has been asked to provide illustrations for another book.
Printed by Competa Town Hall, this will be a compilation of the children’s pleasing, positive and motivating experiences during their State of Alarm isolation.
Art materials will be delivered to the children’s homes so that they can all participate on equal terms, municipal sources said.
