Bournemouth Airport has become the first in the UK to get fever detection system for passengers in the fight against coronavirus.

The airport has fitted cameras at staff entrances to record body temperatures and alert border guards to anyone with a fever, and will install them at every entrance to the airport’s departures and arrivals terminals.

The government said it previously decided against screening at UK ports and borders because experts suggested they had limited success.
