B&Q “happy to announce” that all of its 288 UK stores have reopened after introducing social distancing measures

B&Q has announced that all of its 288 stores are now open and queues soon formed outside the entrances to its stores across the UK.

EARLIER this month, B&Q reopened 14 stores during the coronavirus lockdown after branches were forced to close in March and now it has made the decision to open all the others.

The retailer said that “having watched other essential stores support social distancing measures” it decided to open a few branches, and this week, the popular DIY chain has announced it has opened all of its 288 stores in the UK.

Similar to shopping at other essential retailers, such as supermarkets, B&Q is limiting the number of customers allowed into store at any one time. B&Q has also put social distancing measures in place, which include sanitiser stations for trolleys and safe queuing two metres apart.
