Lack of stock for biggest sellers Big Mac and McChicken may force the closure of some McDonald’s stores.
Customers in New Zealand were told there was a shortage of lettuce due to increased demand after restrictions were eased at stores in Rotorua, which temporarily closed.
While a franchise owner in Waikato posted to Facebook they were doing what they could to keep the restaurant open amid shortages.
After a five-week quarantine, New Zealand reverted to Level 3 on Tuesday which means many shops can reopen, gatherings of 10 people are permitted for weddings and funerals, schools get back to normal.
