FITNESS fanatic Liz Cunliffe from Benalmadena on the Costa del Sol Malaga said: “Unbelievable, we are all stuck in our homes dying to go out and exercise, and here we have someone from the government, who should be setting an example, running around the block!”
Ex long-distance-runner, Kim Evans from Fuengirola was also fuming mad. “that is ridiculous, I’ve been waiting patiently to complete my daily 10km run around Mijas, but was too scared of getting stopped by the police. The last thing I want to see is someone in a privileged position blatantly disregarding the lockdown rules, he is a hypocrite. If that was me I would have a fine of €600, I bet he gets a letter instead!”
The Official Letter
The Ministry of the Interior has sent an official letter to the Madrid Government Delegation regarding the possible infringement committed by former Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy for, supposedly, skipping the State of Alarm by doing sports in the vicinity of his home in the capital. Apparently, it was his neighbours that alerted authorities…
