ALFAZ’S Local Police intensified roadblocks to ensure that travel restrictions were respected over the May 1 long weekend.
“The State of Alarm remains in place and lockdown has not yet been lifted,” explained Alfaz’s Public Safety councillor Toni Such beforehand.
“Regulations must still be complied with, cars checked and a watch kept to ensure that the recommended distances are maintained when children are out walking with an adult.”
Asked about the town hall’s stance on lifting the ban on practising sports, Such said that they would be “attentive” to whatever measures the national government announced in this respect.
