China, USA and Russia shun Boris Johnson’s coronavirus vaccine conference

China, USA and Russia decided to shun Boris Johnson’s coronavirus vaccine conference to help develop testing, vaccines and treatments for the killer bug.

Other countries Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Norway, Saudi Arabia, and the European Commission took part in the virtual convention co-hosted by the UK today.

Britain has pledged £388 million so far and the aim was to encourage other leaders to contribute.

The PM said before the summit that the only way to succeed in the fight against coronavirus is together as a nation, pooling resources and knowledge.
