A DANGEROUS fugitive from British justice is under arrest after he was tracked down in Albox.
Guardia Civil detained the man, identified as LWJ, following the launch of an investigation when he made off from his usual place of residence in Puerto Lumbreras over the border in Murcia.
The Guardia said the suspect had got away by clambering over rooftops when he realised he’d been discovered.
According to the Guardia the British authorities are after LWJ for a series of robberies and there was a European arrest warrant hanging over his head. They also said that several of his Puerto Lumbreras neighbours had warned officers LWJ had an extremely violent character and could be carrying firearms.
The investigations into the fugitive’s whereabouts led to the outskirts of Paraje Ventarique in Albox a few days later.
