UK holidaymakers have been praising Jet2 over a prompt refund for their Benidorm area booking on Spain’s Costa Blanca.
An eight-strong family from Derbyshire had been looking forward to their mid-May all-inclusive holiday at the Magic Robin Hood Holiday Park at Alfaz del Pi, before the coronavirus crisis wrecked their plans.
Like with many other holiday bookings, the Bright family feared that they would have to wait many months to get a refund, but to their pleasant surprise, they found the full total of thousands of pounds put into their bank accounts this week.
A family member told the Euro Weekly News: “We were told by Jet2 Holidays that we would have to wait our turn, and we were initially offered a credit on going next year to Alfaz.
“We said no, and we expected to have to fight for our money, but then the full payments just reappeared in our accounts without any prior notice. Full credit to them.”
She added: “They are still advertising the same place for September, but at three times the cost, which means that we’ve taken a group decision not to bother with any holidays this year, even if we could fly.”
