HOSBEC, the Costa Blanca’s hoteliers’ association, recently advised members on guidelines for the eventual reopening of hotels.
At a recent meeting, Hosbec president Toni Mayor and the association’s secretary general, Nuria Montes, stressed that “safety and responsibility” should be the principal elements that oversee the reopenings.
In the absence of an official guide, the association’s 250 hotel owners and executives would have to decide on the best measures to guarantee the safety of guests and staff, Hosbec said.
Meanwhile, its own Guia Hosbec provides a good tool during the lockdown de-escalation, the association pointed out.  This has been constantly updated  during the evolution of the pandemic,  incorporating measures and suggestions from tour operators and influential bodies including the Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA).
