BENIDORM has another nine kilometres of streets for walking and exercise. Traffic is currently banned from Avenida Armada Española, the lower section of Calle Sant Pere and Calle El Greco, the town hall’s Mobility department announced. “We wanted to increase pedestrian areas during the Covid-19 situation as well as its consequences,” said Benidorm mayor Toni Perez. Together with its pedestrian streets and seafront promenades, Benidorm has 91 kilometres of bicycle lanes and almost 270,000 square metres of greens zones where it is possible to walk or practise sport during the de-escalation timetables set by the central government.
