Former One Direction singer Niall Horan, 26, claims Health Secretary Matt Hancock is not as intelligent as he thinks he is, and called him ‘smug and slippery.’
THE Irish star unleashed his frustration over the government’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic on Twitter this afternoon, posting: ‘I get the idea that Health Secretary Matt Hancock thinks he’s a lot more intelligent than he actually is. Always very smug and slippery.
‘Excuse me but Matt you’ve had a major howler here and it’s about time you handed facts out instead of worrying about what the opposition thinks.’
The criticism follows calls for the Health Secretary to be sacked over the slow start to Britain’s testing regime, as the nation’s death toll reached 33,614 today.
Horan last month donated €100,000 (£87,000) to Irish charity Alone which provides vital assistance to older people during this difficult time.
